MANDARIN ORIENTAL RESIDENCES ETILER

Acoustic Comfort & Architectural HVAC Solutions for Luxury Living

Located in Etiler, İstanbul, Mandarin Oriental Residences Etiler is a landmark luxury mixed-use development combining Mandarin Oriental hospitality with premium residential living.

Developed by Astaş Holding & Yapı & Yapı and designed by UNStudio, the project comprises three high-rise towers, including luxury residences and hotel functions, together with restaurants, boutiques, social facilities and landscaped areas.

In a project where acoustic comfort, architectural integration and premium indoor comfort are fundamental design criteria, Gerhman provided specialized HVAC solutions for both residential and office areas.

High-Level Acoustic Comfort with HERTZ-R

Approximately 1,500 GERHMAN HERTZ-R circular duct silencers were used throughout the project to control mechanical-system noise and achieve a high level of acoustic comfort.

The silencers reduce duct-borne noise generated by HVAC equipment and airflow, an especially important consideration in luxury residences and hospitality environments, where low background noise levels are a key part of indoor comfort.

Architectural Air Distribution & Fire Safety

In the office blocks, KAPPA-LB concealed slot diffusers were used to integrate air distribution discreetly into the interior architecture, combining effective airflow performance with a clean and minimal ceiling appearance.

At the residential entrances, FBC fire dampers were incorporated into the HVAC system to support fire compartmentation and prevent fire propagation through ventilation ductwork.

Together, these solutions combine acoustic performance, architectural air distribution and fire safety within a premium mixed-use development.
