Esenboğa Airport – New Air Traffic Control Tower
Advanced Infrastructure for Safe and Efficient Air Traffic Management
The New Air Traffic Control Tower at Ankara Esenboğa Airport is a key aviation infrastructure investment designed to support the increasing air traffic capacity of Türkiye’s capital and enhance the safety and efficiency of airport operations.
Rising to a height of 77 metres, the new control tower combines modern architectural design with advanced air traffic management, radar, communication and surveillance technologies. The facility provides air traffic controllers with an enhanced operational environment for the faster, more efficient and safer management of increasingly complex flight movements.
Together with its integrated technical block, the project comprises approximately 13,500 m² of total construction area. The new infrastructure significantly strengthens Esenboğa Airport’s operational and technological capabilities while supporting its long-term aviation capacity.
Gerhman contributed to the project with HVAC air distribution and airflow control solutions, supporting the demanding requirements for indoor air quality, thermal comfort and reliable operation within mission-critical aviation facilities.
