Define the application

Start with the room dimensions, intended use, supply airflow and temperatures. Consider the ventilation approach and the locations available for supply and extract. These inputs connect product selection with the conditions the system is intended to serve.

Review the operating conditions

Look at heating and cooling operation alongside the air pattern, pressure loss and acoustic data. A diffuser should be reviewed in the context of the room layout, including occupied areas, furniture and nearby obstructions.

Review the product dimensions, opening size, mounting arrangement and available installation depth together. For linear grilles, consider the selected frame and plenum as part of the same detail, alongside the adjacent floor, wall or ceiling finish.

Allow for connections and access

Coordinate duct connections, controls and access requirements with the wider project team. For airflow control units, review the operating mode, settings and connection information in the relevant controller documentation.
