BOTAŞ – North Marmara Natural Gas Storage Project, Phase III
Advanced HVAC Solutions for Critical Energy Infrastructure
The BOTAŞ North Marmara Natural Gas Storage Project – Phase III, located in Silivri, Istanbul, was developed to significantly increase the capacity of Türkiye’s first underground natural gas storage facility.
With the completion of Phase III, the facility reached approximately 4.6 billion m³ of natural gas storage capacity and 75 million m³ of daily withdrawal capacity, making it one of Europe’s largest natural gas storage facilities and a strategically important component of Türkiye’s energy infrastructure.
Undertaken by Kalyon İnşaat, the project incorporates highly demanding requirements for fire and gas safety, airflow control and industrial ventilation.
Gerhman supplied a specialized HVAC package for the project, including CFD01 Fire & Gas Dampers, CAV-HP Constant Air Volume Units, BLUE-S Control Dampers, WBL Louvres and RHO Air Distribution Grilles.
