Modernizing Airport Infrastructure for Increased Capacity and Operational Efficiency
The Trabzon Airport New Superstructure Works – Phase I is a comprehensive aviation infrastructure development initiated in 2023 to modernize the airport’s existing terminal and service facilities, increase passenger handling capacity and introduce new operational buildings.
The project is being implemented under the authority of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure – General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM), with construction undertaken by the Sera Yapı Endüstrisi ve Ticaret A.Ş. & Timtaş Grup İnşaat A.Ş. Joint Venture.
The scope includes the renovation of existing service facilities, construction of a new International Arrivals Terminal, CIP Building and Heating Center, as well as the modernization of the International Departures areas. The project also covers renovation works within the Domestic Departures Terminal and the addition of a new passenger boarding bridge.
Designed to enhance passenger capacity, operational efficiency and terminal infrastructure, the development represents an important step in bringing Trabzon Airport’s facilities in line with modern aviation standards.
Gerhman contributed to the project with HVAC air distribution and airflow control solutions, supporting reliable ventilation, indoor environmental quality and passenger comfort across the renewed and newly constructed airport facilities.
