Railport is an intermodal logistics terminal in Kartepe, Kocaeli, developed through the partnership between Arkas Holding and duisport. Bringing railway and road transport together, the terminal supports freight connections between Europe and Asia and serves container, general cargo, finished vehicle, trailer and swap body operations.
Operational since 2025, Railport occupies a 265,000 m² site and includes 20,000 m² of covered storage. Its annual container handling capacity is 360,000 TEU.
SERA Yapı carried out the project’s infrastructure, connection bridge, electromechanical infrastructure and terminal building works. Prota provided multidisciplinary design services, including architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering.
Gerhman Solution
Gerhman supplied air-distribution and airflow-control products for the Railport project, with NOVA+ adjustable-blade diffusers forming a key part of the supply scope.
NOVA+ diffusers allow the discharge pattern to be configured vertically or horizontally through blade adjustment. The project-specific atrium air-distribution study selected NOVA+ 400 and evaluated its heating-mode configuration using calculated air-velocity and temperature distributions.
The wider supply scope included WBL external louvers, BLUE-S volume control dampers, KAPPA slot diffusers and RHO-series ventilation grilles, together with square ceiling diffusers. These product groups provide complementary ventilation functions, including airflow regulation, air inlet and outlet provision, and air distribution within indoor spaces.
